We get to see a glimpse of the other contestant from Komano's scouting from last episode, which is fun, but also very dreadful of what's to come. And to see Arata's side quest, which may led up to him paying a huge toll. The cliffhanger was done perfectly, enough to want more.

We get a quick glimpse of Arata and Shinobu’s reunion. There’s also a surprising detail about the next opponent that adds some pressure on Taichi. This ep highlights Arata stepping in, and his karuta scenes are always so epic. That ending tho… got me kinda worried 👀
