I have to say, the potrayal of the foreigner is a bit odd, but the backstory is understandable, especially when they go as far as to explain how karuta is in Chiba. I really like that Komano have a plan, which I do hope come into play later. All in all a fun start to the national

Chihaya and the gang are back at Omi Jingu! The first match is not too intense, but full of excited and wholesome vibes. They meet a unique opponent that sparks their passion even more. A friendly and beautiful match, and the animation really supports it well!
