This is so funny because Maruko meets her tutor and then gets invited to play HAHAHA. But I think if I had a child like Maruko, I would get angry like her mother.

Episode Context

With just one episode behind it, the series has barely introduced Maruko's world before dropping into these two standalone vignettes. This episode reinforces the anthology-style structure that defines the long run, signaling early on that Chibi Maruko-chan is less about narrative progression and more about accumulating small, meaningful glimpses into everyday life. Viewers can expect this pattern of self-contained stories to continue as the series builds familiarity with Maruko and her family over its 142-episode run.
