Maruko really hopes that this year's teacher visit to her house will go smoothly without any problems. However, being Maruko, her careless nature and “ability to sabotage herself” will definitely make everything chaotic and funny.

Episode Context

Early in the series' long run, this episode continues building Maruko's world one familiar setting at a time. It follows an episode centered on a new tutor and household routines, maintaining that same focus on domestic and school life. The introduction of Hanawa here adds a recurring personality to Maruko's classroom, and the series moves next into another milestone of childhood independence, learning to ride a bicycle.
