When Makima survives death and calmly crushes enemies from afar, the story shifts from chaos to control. Fear turns away from devils toward unseen power and quiet domination, revealing that the most terrifying force is absolute authority hidden behind a gentle, unreadable smile

This marks as a turning point in the series as this establishes the tone moving forward. This also foreshadows that Makima is more than she seems

Ep 9: From Kyoto - this was an unexpected scene from Makima when she got off the train, the episode was full of unexpected scenes. Also the fight scenes are in great quality specially the animation. I'd say this is the peak of the 1st season.

This episode is very climatic and pack a lots of actions. It's also the scariest part of the season it's of how simply powerful Makima is. I love the character of Kobeni and on how she's very confident to engage a attack. Denji is simply funny despite of he's health status.
