Desarrollo de personajes y se puede profundizar un poco más sobre los poderes de Makima y me sorprendió bastante un personaje que pensé que era bastante inútil.

Makima... just Makima. The shrine scene is one of the most chilling displays of power I’ve ever seen in anime. The ritualistic vibe and the sound of those names being called? Spooky. Denji and Power stepping up amidst the chaos shows great growth. Go watch this peak scene. ⛩️🩸

Scary Makima! Our team has never faced enemies like this before; her ritual was a literal power spike that shifted the entire series. I also didn't expect Kobeni to be like that, seeing her switch from panic to elite combat was a sicko mode. MAPPA's direction is immaculate.

There are great fight scenes involving Chainsaw Man and Kobeni, both with excellent animation, voice work, and music. The highlights of this episode, however, are the several unsettling scenes of Makima, which suggest there is more to her than meets the eye.

I cannot believe Kobeni actually did all that and she moved so fast against the snake girl and I thought she was just a coward but she really is an expert with those knives

Makima sitting up on that train was terrifying and that ritual at the shrine felt so wrong and the sound of those people getting crushed into meat was way too loud

Madoka is the only person in this whole show with any common sense and he saw what Makima did and just decided he was done with the devil hunters forever

Denji getting split in half again was brutal and Katana Man is way too fast for him right now and the fight on the side of the building looked messy and chaotic

Aki just staring at Himeno's empty clothes on the ground absolutely gutted me. I kept thinking about how she really gave everything for him, even her life, and then that ending song just felt like such a heartbreaking final funeral for her.

Denji really got sliced down the middle like a piece of wood and he keeps losing these big fights but the way Katana Man just walked through that guy to hit him was cold

When Makima started that ritual at the shrine, my jaw just dropped; seeing her casually crush people from miles away without even flinching really showed me how absolutely terrifying she is. I can't even begin to imagine what she actually *is* or what her full power must be if she can do that so effortlessly.

Kobeni going from a crying mess to a literal ninja and slicing up those guys was the biggest shock and seeing her hold Denjis torso while sobbing felt so heavy

Madoka actually quitting his job after seeing everyone get slaughtered made me kinda wonder if he was the only one with his head screwed on straight anymore. I mean, who wouldn't want out after realizing that work isn't for humans when it's literally just a bloodbath?

I still have chills from seeing Makima stand up on that train like nothing happened, and then that ritual at the shrine was just something else. Watching those attackers get flattened into paste while the prisoners dropped dead was so unsettling. I really thought Kobeni was just a joke character but the way she just went off with those knives was insane

I felt sick when Makima made those prisoners say the names and then they just collapsed so she could crush the guys in Tokyo

Denji trying to use a hostage only to get sliced right in half was so brutal. He really is not your typical hero and seeing him fail that hard was intense

EPISODE CONTEXT

Episode 8's devastating ambush on the Devil Hunters was a turning point for the season, and Episode 9 exists entirely in its fallout — making it the critical bridge between the attack and the final act. Makima's characterization deepens significantly here, reframing earlier interactions and raising the stakes heading into the final three episodes. This is the pivot where Chainsaw Man transitions from building its world to detonating it.
