Makima's Reprimand
Makima sits amidst a bloodied crime scene, calmly admonishing Power and Denji. She explains the rules of Public Safety, emphasizing that rogue actions are not tolerated. Power attempts to deflect blame onto Denji, but Makima's piercing gaze silences their bickering. Denji, intimidated, stands by as Power fumes silently, the weight of Makima's authority heavy on them both.
The Deal with Denji
In a dim hallway, Power reveals her singular concern: her kidnapped cat, Nyako. She scorns both humans and devils alike, her affection reserved for the creature. Denji, driven by baser desires, admits his goals are entirely selfish. Power sees an opportunity, offering him an indecent reward in exchange for rescuing Nyako, a pact Denji eagerly accepts, blind to the obvious deception.
Makima's Meeting
Makima attends a meeting with high-ranking officials discussing international tensions and the military use of devils. They probe her about her 'dogs,' warning against emotional attachments. Makima, ever composed, refers to Denji as a 'stray' and Power as 'interesting.' Her polite responses mask a calculating mind, suggesting she maneuvers her pawns with a larger, unseen purpose.
Aki's Doubts
Aki Hayakawa expresses his deep skepticism about Denji's suitability for Public Safety. He believes Denji's shallow desires make him unfit for the serious work. Makima, drinking coffee, shifts the conversation to the nature of devil names and their power. She explains that fear itself fuels devils, implying Denji's unique nature makes him a valuable, albeit crude, instrument.
The Walk to the Shack
Denji and Power journey toward a remote shack, Power revealing details about her bond with Nyako. She explains a devil specifically demanded a human. Denji, axe in hand, tries to find common ground, sharing memories of Pochita. Power points to the dilapidated house, instructing Denji to go alone, her gaze hardening as the truth of her betrayal draws near.
Power's Betrayal
At the shack's entrance, Denji senses something amiss. Before he can react, Power strikes him down with a blood hammer. He collapses, blood pooling, as she stands over him with a look of desperate triumph. She drags him inside, leaving a crimson smear, justifying the sacrifice of a human for her beloved cat.
Bat Devil's Appearance
The enormous Bat Devil emerges, demanding its promised tribute. Power offers the unconscious Denji, begging for Nyako's release. The Bat Devil mocks her, seizing Denji to drain him, then cruelly swallows Nyako. It then turns on Power, consuming her as well, leaving a half-conscious Denji to witness the horrifying spectacle.
Power's Bond with Nyako
A flashback reveals Power's past as a Fiend, hunting in the woods. She finds a starving cat, intending to eat it, but develops an unexpected affection instead. She names it Nyako, finding companionship and joy for the first time. This memory explains her desperate present actions, highlighting the tragic irony of her attempt to save the one thing she loved.
Denji's Resolve
Denji, battered and bleeding, recalls his bond with Pochita. He understands Power's desperation and refuses to let the Bat Devil escape after its cruel act. As the Bat Devil prepares to flee, Denji grabs its leg. He pulls the starter cord on his chest, transforming into Chainsaw Man, his eyes burning with rage and a stubborn desire to fulfill his pact.
Chainsaw Man vs. Bat Devil
Chainsaw Man launches a relentless assault on the Bat Devil, crashing through the shack and into the city. The battle is savage, Chainsaw Man's blades tearing through the devil's flesh and wings. He smashes through an office building, momentarily rescuing a civilian, before returning to the carnage. The fight culminates in the street, Chainsaw Man delivering devastating blows that cleave the Bat Devil in two. He stands victorious, saws spinning, shouting about his reward.

EPISODE REVIEWS

Great introduction to what devil's are really like and how they can lie to get what they want. Denji is easily lured by promises of typical teenage hormones and doesnt go the way he wants but I cant blame him. Hes never had any love, affection or attention in his life nor knows any boundaries or manners

Capitulo donde podemos ver el lado vulnerable de uno de los personajes y como se forma una alianza entre ellos.
