📖 SYNOPSIS

"Caligula" unfolds within Mobius, a virtual reality designed to provide an idyllic high school experience and shield users from real-world pain. The protagonist and others awaken to the artificial nature of their existence, forming the Go-Home Club. Their goal is to escape Mobius and return to the real world, challenging the program's creator, the vocaloid AI known as μ.

Opposing the Go-Home Club are the Ostinato Musicians, a group who embrace Mobius and its manufactured perfection. They see the Go-Home Club as traitors, actively working to maintain the status quo and protect μ. The anime explores themes of escapism, the allure of idealized realities, and the struggle for self-determination against a controlling force. The conflict centers on the opposing desires to remain in the virtual paradise versus the yearning for authentic experience.
