EPISODE REVIEWS
High-stakes drama introduces the mechanical reality of the Coupling system. The graphics rely on striking visual overlays, painting the screen in split-screen cockpit layouts to emphasize the growing mental synchronicity between Aoba and Dio. The smooth frame-rates during the rapid aerial maneuvers deliver a genuinely thrilling, polished sci-fi viewing experience
It's great that the story point out that the con of having a civilian in a military setting is how Aoba can be nonconforming. I'm disappointed that we haven't seen more of Dio and Aoba interacting more but at least they explore the consequences of that... for a bout a minute or two. The mecha fights seemed to be only selling points of this series so far.
