A wonderful exploration of futuristic military tension. The visual direction shifts to tight framing and sharp shadow casting inside the interrogation rooms, highlighting Aoba’s deep isolation. The clean, sterile metallic tones of the Free Pact Alliance base contrast heavily with the warm, familiar memories of the home era that Aoba desperately clings to.

The reunion between Hina and Aoba went just as expected. The power system, specifically surrounding the Coupling System is pretty basic that the only way it can get more interesting is whether the growing dynamic between Dio and Aoba will affect their ability, which we don't see that yet in this episode. But we did get more cool mecha fights. The undertone theme of military propaganda on both sides is apparent but it was Zoglia that has been the aggressor so they've been shone in a pretty bad light.
