Another climax episode. The slow-motion animation plus the soundtrack plus the character expression plus the background is just perfect in my own opinion. Wish I can comment more about the story but not gonna spoil anything here, so just watch it to find out the hype.

This episode feels like a filler episode. Not much happens but we do get 'rewarded' with something at the end of the episode. Other than Yuu talking about her aroace feelings with Maki, not much happens in this episode. I'd say this is a skip.

This episode is such a beautiful watch because the aquarium date feels incredibly intimate. I loved watching Yuu and Touko share those quiet moments together since it shows how much their bond has grown.

Episode Context

Positioned at the two-thirds mark of a 13-episode season, Episode 9 builds directly on the relationship dynamics explored in Episode 8, deepening Yuu's internal conflict as the series approaches its emotional crescendo. This is transitional groundwork, the show is carefully layering emotional stakes before the final arc's more decisive developments. Expect this episode to plant seeds that Episodes 10 through 13 will bring to fruition.
