Rumors about the mysterious “Jack the Ripper” start spreading, and the tone gets much darker here. Ciel begins digging into the case while Sebastian quietly assists.

Episode Context

Sitting at the season's rough midpoint, this standalone filler episode arrives after the staff-focused 'His Butler, Training' and before the series begins steering toward its darker second-half arcs. It doesn't advance the central mystery or Ciel's mission, functioning instead as a comedic palate cleanser. For viewers tracking the main plot, this is skippable without missing continuity, but it offers worthwhile character moments for the Phantomhive household.
