Ciel attends a lively gathering, but the cheerful setting hides a tense situation underneath. While everyone else enjoys the festivities, Ciel focuses on the task at hand. Sebastian blends in perfectly while keeping a close eye on everything unfolding around them.

Episode Context

Positioned at episode 7 of 24, this marks the beginning of the anime-original Houndsworth Arc, a filler detour following the conclusion of the funeral-centric events in episode 6. It establishes the village setting and central mystery that will carry into the next episode, 'His Butler, Training,' making it the entry point for a short self-contained storyline before the season returns to its main threads.
