The ending was chilling! Just when Casca and Guts's relationship have moved in a positive direction, everything topples all over again. The foreshadowing on Griffith's pendant is very obvious and baked into almost every episode since it's been introduced. It feels important.

The older animation made it a little hard for me to enjoy the show, but it definitely added to the atmosphere and unsettling vibes this episode brings to the table. The shift from still frames to fully articulated battle scenes did this very well!
