Episode Context

Coming off 'The Horned Owl,' which planted the seeds of distrust between the clans, episode five deepens those fractures into something irreversible, this is the pivotal turning point where cold war shifts toward open conflict. At roughly the one-fifth mark of a 24-episode run, the series is transitioning from setup into its central tragedy. What happens here directly fuels the rekindled hostilities that will define the middle stretch of the season.
