Episode Context

Episode 6 sits at the quarter mark of a 24-episode war narrative, functioning as a critical transitional chapter after the Iga clan's aggressive provocations in episode 5 shattered the fragile ceasefire. It deepens the internal fractures within the Kouga clan while deliberately keeping Gennosuke in the dark, a storytelling choice that compounds the tragedy to come. This episode lays essential emotional groundwork for the full-scale ninja war that will dominate the season's middle stretch.
