Episode Context

Coming off the escalation in Episode 3, 'The Horned Owl' deliberately downshifts into psychological tension, placing Kouga representatives directly among Iga hosts to test the fragile truce between the two clans. This is a critical transitional episode early in the 24-episode run, building the interpersonal dynamics and distrust that will fuel the larger conflict. It directly sets the stage for Episode 5, where the simmering hostilities begin breaking through the surface.
