GANSO! BanG Dream Chan Episode 29: Trials of the Survivor Tower

The episode opens with ominous visuals: a tall, dark tower under a stormy sky, framing a monitor displaying 'Remaining 10 people.' Suddenly, a bolt of energy strikes, and Kasumi Toyama is eliminated with a scream, 'Arisa-saaan!' Moments later, Arisa Ichigaya crawls from a trapdoor, tears streaming, clutching her chest. She whispers, 'Kasumi... why did you sacrifice yourself for me?!' The dramatic beginning establishes a grave tone for what promises to be a deadly game.

Inside the main chamber, the remaining survivors gather, a tableau of despair. Nanami Hiromachi stoically notes, 'Remaining 9 people, huh.' Mashiro Kurata weeps into Pareo's arms, while Sayo Hikawa expresses relief that Arisa is safe. The monitor then flashes, 'Congratulations!' Arisa, enraged, demands to know the purpose of the 'cruel game,' only for the skull icon to reveal the ordeal was a selection for a 'new key visual.' The girls, now thoroughly annoyed, bolt from the tower shouting, 'Say that first!!'

After the credits, the true fruit of their ordeal is unveiled: a vibrant and energetic 'New Key Visual.' All nine survivors, including Arisa, Ran Mitake, Sayo Hikawa, Yukina Minato, Kokoro Tsurumaki, Mashiro Kurata, Nanami Hiromachi, Chu2, and Pareo, pose cheerfully against a bright, patterned backdrop. This final shot contrasts sharply with the tower's grim atmosphere, solidifying the episode's humorous intent. The parody concludes by showcasing the very thing it parodied the girls' selection for.
