Episode Context

Sitting at the exact midpoint of Season 2's twelve episodes, 'Close Combat' converts the devastating revelations of Episode 6 into immediate, explosive physical conflict, this is where talking ends and survival begins. It serves as the season's action crescendo for its first half, testing whether the protagonists can withstand betrayal not just emotionally but physically. Everything that follows in the back half of the season builds directly from the outcomes forged in this episode's battles.
