Arguably the best battle so far. The tactics are sharp and the emotional undercurrent running through the whole thing gives it more weight than a standard action episode. Really well executed.
Unlike Takao's battle, this episode puts the Fleet of Fog's diverse sci-fi weaponry on full display, making the action feel fresh and exciting. It once again highlights Gunzou's tactical brilliance and the excellent teamwork of his crew, showing how they overcome overwhelming odds through strategy rather than brute force. This was an incredibly exciting episode to watch and it also serves as a showcase of the studio's animation quality, especially during the large-scale battle sequences. There are also a few small fanservice moments, including some questionable camera angles and a scene near the end of the episode, though they don't significantly lessen the overall watching experience.
i keep forgetting to mention how good the orchestral soundtrack is in every scene. watching it with headphones on makes everything so much more immersive and cool !! i love that it's not just dialogue driven either. the animation in this is insanely good !! this was a really intense battle focused episode
