EPISODE REVIEWS

A quieter episode that takes its time. The visit to Yokosuka has a reflective feel to it and works well as a breather between battles. Small but effective character moment for Gunzou and Iona.

This episode focuses on the aftermath of the previous battle from Kirishima and Haruna's side. While there are still a few fanservice moments, they are limited to the first half of the episode. The episode also sheds more light on Makie, the child who was first introduced in Ep 3. It reveals her true identity, explores her backstory and provides more context about her current circumstances, making her a much more compelling character. The episode ends on a cliffhanger that builds anticipation for what's to come. I also liked the creative decision to give the ending sequence a darker tone as it perfectly matches the mood of the episode and enhances its emotional impact.

awww makie, sweet little girl :((( why is she all alone in that mansion in the first place T___T i think im seeing a founded family trope in the works here !!! lmao their cute little dress up montage is the cutest and wholesome thing ive ever seen in this show so far !!
