📖 SYNOPSIS
A group of five aspiring idols want you to do push-ups with them. That's basically the whole deal with Anitore! EX, a 12-episode short-form TV series where each four-minute episode has one of the girls—Asami, Eri, Shizuno, Shion, or Yuu—leading you through a different workout routine. Push-ups, sit-ups, yoga, stretches, dance moves, even tai chi. The twist that makes it stick is the first-person perspective. The camera puts you right there in the room with them, so it genuinely feels like someone's coaching you through reps rather than you just watching anime on the couch. Which, to be fair, you're still doing, but at least you might be doing crunches at the same time.
The vibe is light and motivational without being obnoxious about it. Each girl has her own personality and energy, so the episodes don't blur together even though they're all structured around exercises. It's not trying to tell a deep story—it's trying to get you moving for a few minutes a day, wrapped in idol charm.
If you liked How Heavy Are the Dumbbells You Lift? but want something you can knock out in under an hour total, this is your lane. Fans of Training with Hinako or the cozy direct-address format of One Room will recognize the appeal. It's a fitness routine disguised as anime, or maybe anime disguised as a fitness routine. Either way, you might actually break a sweat.
