I really wasn't expecting this episode to dive so deep into Miku's childhood trauma and the pressure she feels to stay cheerful. It makes sense why she's so obsessed with being cute now. Seeing her break down in her room after the kiss was brutal because she feels like a bad person for wanting Yukiya to look at her like that.
