Seeing Itsuomi trying so hard to understand something really moved me. The plot really tugged at my heartstrings. I burst out laughing when Yuki was getting ready to leave, I can totally relate to that, as can most women😭 Her antics and those subtle, shy reactions were absolutely adorable. Communication is key here.
This includes a short side story of Shin and Emma, showing how Emma often turns to Shin when talking about Itsuomi. This subtly hints at possible conflict as Yuki and Itsuomi’s relationship develops. The pastel visuals in their scenes also enhance the soft, romantic atmosphere.
The first signs of conflict are starting to show with Itsuomi & Oushi, but this episode's focus is on the main group’s dynamics. While the show’s done well to avoid tropes and isn’t a chore to finish, it does take a while for things to happen.
