The show's most climactic showdown yet. A very hype battle eventually leads to a surprisingly emotional finale. But then you realize the episode isn't over yet... and a second half of the episode leaves you shocked, but wanting more. And I do.

I cannot believe that the Spearhead Squadron are finally free. It was an episode filled with a lot of emotional roller coaster. For a moment I thought Shin would die! I love how Lena discovers a way to finally help and free them!

Episode 9 felt like a cinematic experience. The symbolism was beautiful. Shin taking off his scarf felt like he finally overcame his trauma and faced his brother’s memory. And those five birds in the sky? Freedom for the five of them, but maybe also a farewell as they slowly fade

One of the best episode of the season very intense with lot of action. The battle begins. As Shin pursues Shourei, the rest are already in trouble fighting off other Legion

This episode goes all in. Shin facing Shourei under that blood-red sky felt intense and heartbreaking. He couldn’t win alone, but Lena and Annette stepping in with artillery changed everything. Shourei’s final apology hurt. And that quiet goodbye as Spearhead moves on? Painful.

The fight against the "Shepherd" might be the best part of this season. I loved how they made the atmosphere by adding red colors in the sky, this made the battle so much more exciting and scary. The voice acting was also so intense! This left me satisfied by the outcome.

EPISODE CONTEXT

Positioned at episode 9 of 11, this is the emotional climax of the first cour, arriving directly after 'Let's Go' sent the Spearhead Squadron on what felt like a point-of-no-return mission. It serves as the devastating bridge between that departure and the next episode, 'Thank You,' shifting the season's focus squarely onto consequences, personal reckoning, and the irreversible nature of the choices these characters have made.
