Episode Context

Following the failed attempt to secure the Statue of Humanity in Hong Kong during the opening episode, this second chapter of the four-part OVA pulls back to examine what Yakumo's transformation actually means for his day-to-day existence. It serves as the emotional midpoint that recontextualizes his bond with Pai before the series shifts toward higher-stakes consequences. The groundwork laid here feeds directly into 'Sacrifice,' the third episode, where the weight of their intertwined fates demands a much steeper price.
