Synopsis

After getting his heart broken by a real girl, Masamune Okumura did what any reasonable person would do — devoted himself entirely to a fictional angel named Liliel and became president of his school's Manga Research Club. Life is simple, predictable, and safe. Then Ririsa Amano walks in. She's a first-year student, a hardcore cosplayer, and she's obsessed with the same character he is. She wants Masamune to photograph her cosplay of Liliel, and suddenly this guy who swore off 3D women is spending all his time helping a very real, very attractive girl bring his favorite 2D character to life. The tension between his love for a fictional character and the flesh-and-blood person standing in front of him dressed as that character is where the comedy lives. Add in Mikari, his childhood friend who shows up as a model trying to get his attention, and you've got the harem dynamics kicking in. This is a 24-episode TV series by J.C.Staff that leans into otaku culture and cosplay with genuine affection rather than just using it as window dressing. The cosplay world stuff feels specific and grounded. If you liked the otaku romance angle of Saenai Heroine no Sodatekata or the club dynamics of Genshiken, this hits a similar spot but with more ecchi comedy and a lighter touch. It's comedic and youthful, never taking itself too seriously, and it works best if you've ever caught feelings for a character who doesn't exist.

I did not expect anything but I'm genuinely surprised that I actually like it. The dialogue, especially with the comedic scenes are on-point if you don't mind the ecchi stuff
The finale basically says cosplay is chaotic, embarrassing, stressful, and also incredibly fun. The group has grown a lot and honestly you kind of want to join the club too.
