This TV series picks up right where season one left off, with Masamune still caught between his devotion to a character and the very real girl standing in front of him, while childhood friend Mikari watches from the sidelines with feelings of her own. The cosplay scenes are genuinely detailed — you can tell the source manga cares about the craft, not just using it as window dressing. The comedy hits that sweet spot where it's playful without being mean, and the romantic tension actually builds instead of just spinning its wheels.
