Akane getting flustered over the smallest things makes the eventual payoff feel a lot better than most of these shows and the voice acting was great

The rain outside made the whole apartment feel so private and quiet while they were on the floor together and I really felt the mood of that scene

You can really tell the guy is trying to be respectful but Akane is just too much of a tease and those close ups were drawn really well

That landlady just disappearing and leaving them to figure out the sleeping arrangements is hilarious and the tension in that tiny kitchen was way too much

I think Akane looks so much better when she starts letting her guard down because that shower scene was actually pretty sweet before things got heated

they looked so cute waking up together at the end and the art for the morning sun was beautiful

the age gap dynamic works so well here because the guy isnt a total creep and actually cares about making her feel comfortable in the shared space

It feels like the show finally hit its stride with the cohabitation stuff and seeing Akane open up about why she was living alone made her character feel a lot more real than just some trope, and that scene in the kitchen was a highlight because the animation really stepped up and the music stayed subtle throughout

that transition from the shower scene to the bedroom was so smooth and the soundtrack really helped build up the mood before things got heavy

I was expecting more drama from the landlady showing up again but the focus on their private time in the room was definitely the right call for this episode

the animation during the climax was actually insane for an ova and the voice acting for akane sounded so genuine when she was talking about her past

her finally stopping the shy act made me so happy and watching them get close in that tiny apartment made the wait worth it

that scene on the sofa was way more intense than anything in the earlier episodes and the art quality really stayed consistent throughout the whole thing

That lighting shift during the rainy scene made everything feel way more intimate, and Akane has totally won me over as the top character for me

the tension during the cooking scene was great and it felt like their chemistry finally peaked after all those awkward walk ins

Seeing him fumble with the grocery bags while she was posing in that outfit was funny, and the animation definitely stepped up for the spicy parts.

The way the lighting changed during the close up on Akane made my skin crawl in a good way because it felt so intimate

The sound of the neighbors through the wall was a bit much and it definitely set the mood for them finally doing something about it

That bit where she tries to play it cool after he walks in on her is so awkward and the art really sells her embarrassment

EPISODE CONTEXT

Sitting at the midpoint of the series, Episode 5 builds directly on the relationship groundwork laid in Episodes 3 and 4, where Akane and Ken's boundaries and emotional connection were actively being tested. By this stage, the cohabitation dynamic is well-established, allowing the episode to push character intimacy further rather than reintroduce it. It positions the back half of the season to escalate toward whatever resolution or shift the series is building to between its two leads.
