AnimeOshi Launches Mahoseka Film Club for Fans of Living in a World Without Magic

AnimeOshi has launched the Mahoseka Film Club, a new community campaign for fans of Living in a World Without Magic who want to stay connected to the project's journey toward a feature-length anime film.
Running through July 8, 2026, the campaign gives fans an opportunity to follow the project's progress, access exclusive content, and demonstrate their interest in seeing the story continue.
The initiative centers around Living in a World Without Magic, the original short anime created by Akiwashi that has attracted more than 6.3 million views on YouTube. Featuring Natsuki Hanae (Demon Slayer, Dandadan, Witch Hat Atelier), the seven-minute film received widespread praise for its storytelling, worldbuilding, and emotional impact, leaving many viewers eager to see more of the story.

Interest in the story continued beyond the anime with the release of a novel adaptation published by KADOKAWA in 2023. Written by Mamoru Iwasa, the novel expands on the world introduced in the short anime and has surpassed 7,000 copies in circulation.
The Mahoseka Film Club reflects AnimeOshi's broader vision of helping fans engage more directly with the anime projects they care about. Through the campaign, members can stay connected to the development of Living in a World Without Magic while contributing to a growing community of supporters around the world.
Members who join the campaign will receive an exclusive Mahoseka Film Club badge for their AnimeOshi profile, access to behind-the-scenes materials, project updates, and community activities.
One of those activities includes a weekly giveaway of Footprints, the latest artbook by Akiwashi. Throughout the campaign, one Mahoseka Film Club member will be selected each week to receive a copy, creating additional opportunities for fans to engage with the project.
The campaign has already begun generating fan participation on AnimeOshi. In one recent post, a weekly winner shared photos of her copy of Footprints along with a personal message to Akiwashi:
The campaign also provides a visible measure of audience interest as the team behind Living in a World Without Magic continues discussions around the project's future development. Additional opportunities for fans to engage with the project will be announced in the future.
