Kingdom Anime Full Guide (2026): Everything You Need to Know

Hyped for Kingdom Season 6 Part 2? Master the world of Kingdom with our 2026 guide! We break down every season and watch order so you can start your journey like a pro!
While Kingdom isn't a top-tier anime series in other countries, it is actually a massive hit in Japan. The manga has sold over 100 million copies in circulation, and its live-action movie adaptations have achieved amazing results as well. Starting from the first film, almost every Kingdom movie has performed well at the box office, and the fifth installment is set to be released this summer.
With the latest live-action movie on the way and Kingdom Season 6 Part 2 officially confirmed following the conclusion of Part 1 in December 2025, now might be the best time to start your Kingdom journey. However, with six seasons available, many people may wonder: “Can I skip certain seasons?” or “Is there any part I can skip?”
To answer your question: No, there aren't any seasons in Kingdom that you can easily skip. Since each season is a direct continuation of the story, you should follow the numerical order; otherwise, you won't be able to keep up with or even understand the plot. While no single season is "skippable," there are indeed some specific parts you can skip. So, unlike other anime guides, this post will focus on each season's "must-watch" moments and most highlighted parts.
Since there are six seasons, there are naturally many scenes focused on dialogue or explanation. By watching the "must-watch" highlights first, you can get hooked on the story immediately. Then, once you decide that Kingdom is the right series for you, you can always go back to the skipped parts at any time.
Before diving any further, please be aware that because this post mentions specific scenes, some anime spoilers are unavoidable. While spoilers are inevitable, I will try my best to keep them to a minimum so that everyone can read this without any concerns.

Kingdom: An Amazing Series Topping the Charts in Japan
Before explaining the "must-watch" parts, please allow me to share some background on Kingdom. The series portrays the journey of Ei Sei (Ying Zheng) and his quest to unify China, ending over 500 years of war. Since Kingdom is a historical series, many characters—including Ei Sei—are based on real figures from the history of the Qin Dynasty.
You might be wondering why I’m mentioning this, but it is important information for everyone: Chinese names are spelled differently than their Japanese counterparts. For example, "Ei Sei" is the Japanese name, while "Ying Zheng" is the Chinese spelling; both refer to the same person. Since this post is intended to be an anime guide, and the anime uses the Japanese names, I will be using the Japanese spellings for all characters throughout this post.
Since the story focuses on the unification of China, Kingdom is largely about warfare. Throughout the series, there are many different types of battles. While this may sound like a sensitive topic, it is based on the historical fact that China had endured 500 years of conflict; it reached a point where they could only use war to stop war. Although this might sound ridiculous to people today, if you lived during that time, you would likely feel the same way—that the only way to end the violence was, unfortunately, through more war.
Besides the unification of China, the story also focuses on the growth of Ei Sei and Ri Shin (Li Xin), also known as Shin. The main reason Kingdom has become so popular is that it doesn’t just throw a bunch of battles at the viewers; it portrays the entire era through the eyes of these two characters. Through Ei Sei, we see the political situation of the Qin Empire and the burden he carries on his shoulders. Through Shin, we experience the cruelty of the battlefield and the reality of a country that has suffered through five centuries of fighting.

The author, Yasuhisa Hara, is very bold in his depictions, providing a true sense of the impact of the war era. While the anime series is censored, if the show interests you and you want to try the uncensored manga, please be prepared—you will witness a realistic portrayal of war that few movies or shows can match. This is the main reason I love Kingdom; it gives us a realistic look at what likely happened during that era.
Ei Sei and Shin aren’t the only characters you need to remember; Ri Boku (Li Mu) is a name you must keep in mind, as he is the ultimate rival for Shin. While Ei Sei and Shin represent Qin, Ri Boku stands for the state of Zhao. Since Ei Sei aims to unify all of China, Ri Boku must take a stand; otherwise, his people would be conquered by Qin. Although the anime portrays Ei Sei’s goal as a pursuit of justice, the characters within that world don’t always see it that way. Many view Ei Sei as a potential tyrant trying to enslave the land, leading them to fight to the death—and that conflict is exactly why this story is so amazing.
Even though Kingdom has been running for many years and the anime has reached Season 6, the story is still far from over. It might seem hard to believe, but because the author, Hara, has introduced so many original characters and given them deep development and life, the journey remains long—even with Season 6 Part 2 on the horizon.

Kingdom Season 1: The Beginning of an Epic Story
Kingdom Season 1 is the foundation of the entire saga. For those who haven’t watched the series before, you must start here. Although the animation, CGI, and character designs in Season 1 are honestly difficult to recommend, you shouldn't skip the whole season. If you start anywhere else, you won’t be able to catch up, as Season 1 introduces many vital characters and explains essential details.
There are three parts of Season 1 that are "must-watches" for everyone. The first is Sei Kyou’s (Cheng Jiao) Rebellion. While you might think of the future Qin Shi Huang as a tyrant who suddenly decided to unify China, this arc clarifies that myth. Ei Sei wasn't born with absolute power; instead, he struggled immensely. In fact, his own younger brother tried to kill him just to take the throne. This part not only shows the lengths people will go to for power—even against their own relatives—but also proves that Ei Sei is an extraordinary individual. Despite his brother aiming for his life, Ei Sei remains calm, finds a way to win the conflict, and, most importantly, continues to dream big.
At a very young age, Ei Sei was already able to dream big; even as a child, he was determined to unify China and end the era of war. While that might not seem like much to us now, it was an outrageous thought during that era. What impresses me most about Ei Sei is that he wasn't scared or hesitant to tell everyone his "ridiculous" dream. For over 500 years, no one had been able to achieve it, so to everyone else, unification was a complete fantasy. Ei Sei knew he was the "weirdo" in that world, but he stood his ground. No matter who faced him, he spoke his truth. This is how he was able to attract and persuade both Shin and Yo Tan Wa (Yang Duan He). Both Yo Tan Wa and Sei Kyou are vital to the story, as they return in later seasons to play massive roles.
The second "must-watch" part is the Dakan Plains (蛇甘平原) arc. This section is crucial because it portrays the rise of Shin. Unlike Ei Sei, who was born to rule, Shin started as a poor kid with nothing. But everything changed when he met Ei Sei and joined the war at Dakan Plains. Shin fought bravely, using his monstrous strength to lead his unit toward victory. Furthermore, he took the head of an important enemy general, which ultimately helped Hyou Kou (Duke Hyou) secure a massive win.
5.jpeg)
Source: 【公式】TVアニメ「キングダム」第6シリーズ Official X account
The war at Dakan Plains also introduced a vital character: Kyou Kai (Qiāng Lěi). She is incredibly important to both Shin and the state of Qin, as she achieves unbelievable victories in the future. As a member of the Shiyuu clan, Kyou Kai possesses incredible strength and agility. Throughout the series, it's clear that if she unleashes her full power, she can take down an army with ease. As other characters in Kingdom often joke, Kyou Kai actually has a better chance of becoming a Great General than Shin does!
The third "must-watch" section of Season 1 is the Battle of Bayou. This is easily the most intense and exciting arc of the season. Since the Battle of Dakan Plains, Shin has undergone harsh training and earned the authority to lead a hundred-man unit. From this point on, Shin truly becomes a different person. He is no longer a "nobody" without money or status; he is now a leader responsible for a hundred lives. With the support of his unit and Kyou Kai, Shin finally begins to act like a commander, employing tactics and aiming for even greater victories.
While Shin’s growth is essential, there are two scenes that are even more critical: Shin receiving the name "Hi Shin Unit" and the death of Ou Ki (Wang Yi). The Battle of Bayou was actually a massive trap set by Ri Boku, whose ultimate goal was to take down Ou Ki. Although Ou Ki and Shin fought bravely and achieved some tremendous wins, Ou Ki was ultimately killed. His death is tragic, yet beautiful. Although Qin lost a legendary Great General, the story does not end there. Since Ei Sei is still determined and the burning spirit of Shin and the Hi Shin Unit remains, they were not broken by Ri Boku’s trap.
★★★ AnimeOshi Real-Time Data Corner ★★★
On AnimeOshi, 244 scouts have left reviews, and the data currently shows a "Great" rating with a high score of 85%. When that many people review a series and the score remains above 80%, it’s obvious that Season 1 is a must-watch for everyone! Although the animation and CGI might be disappointing at first, believe me—it is absolutely worth watching! As a final note, here is a historical fact: the Hi Shin Unit was a real unit that actually existed in Chinese history.

Kingdom Season 2: The Introduction of Two Infamous Generals, Ou Sen and Kan Ki
After finishing Season 1, the next step is simple: follow the numerical order and watch Season 2. Much like the first season, Season 2 is quite long, consisting of 39 episodes. I personally believe there are three "must-watch" parts. In my opinion, the main highlights truly begin toward the middle, though you may want to revisit the earlier episodes once you have more time. Season 2 begins by addressing the aftermath of Ou Ki’s death and exploring the complicated relationship between Ei Sei and his mother, Bi Ki (Zhao Ji).
For those unfamiliar with the history of Qin Shi Huang, if you imagine him as a man who lived an easy life of luxury, you are mistaken. Ei Sei had a terrible past, and his relationship with his mother could best be described as "the worst." We will discuss their relationship in detail later; however, since the first part of Season 2 focuses heavily on Qin’s internal political situation, it is okay to skip it for now. While knowing about Bi Ki is necessary eventually, skipping these early scenes won't hurt your immediate viewing experience. Just make sure to come back to them once you reach the second half of Season 4, as that is when the relationship between Ei Sei and Bi Ki becomes vital to the plot.
In Kingdom Season 2, the first "must-watch" section begins at Episode 12 with the introduction of the Three Young Units. From this point on, the Hi Shin Unit, the Gyoku Hou Unit led by Ou Hon (Wang Ben), and the Gaku Ka Unit led by Mou Ten (Meng Tian) begin working together across several battles. As these three units continuously rack up victories, they eventually realize that the legendary general Ren Pa (Lian Po) has joined the conflict as well.
The battles involving these three units are essential viewing because they are both entertaining and impressive. The Hi Shin Unit relies mostly on raw strength, while Mou Ten and the Gaku Ka Unit focus on clever strategies and tricks. Meanwhile, Ou Hon and the Gyoku Hou Unit utilize a balance of both refined tactics and power. These units are young, but they fight bravely and achieve incredible results. I’m not joking—when I first watched this part and saw how Kyou Kai managed to take down an entire army and survive, I was genuinely shocked. While it might seem impossible from a historical perspective, Kingdom features many powerful female characters, and Kyou Kai truly fights like a beast in Season 2.

As the battles involving the three young units progress, we reach the second "must-watch" part of the season: the wars led by two infamous generals, Ou Sen and Kan Ki. Please remember these names, as they are incredibly important for the series; they will be the keys to Qin’s greatest victories in future seasons. Even without knowledge of Chinese history, I believe everyone will remember them easily because of their striking character designs and unique battle styles.
Let’s talk about Kan Ki first. Kan Ki is a former bandit who brought his entire "bandit family" into the military. Since joining the Qin army, he has helped the state achieve numerous wins using his unconventional methods. As I mentioned before, Hara is very bold with his depictions; Kan Ki’s style is truly mind-blowing (and perhaps a bit disturbing), as he shows you the brutal reality of how a "dark" adult fights a war. In Season 2, Kan Ki performs exceptionally well, using his own psychological tactics to kill two important generals from the state of Wei.
While Ou Sen’s battle didn't have as much immediate "shock factor" as Kan Ki’s, he is still a monster on the battlefield. Although it initially seems like he loses his position to Ren Pa in Season 2, he actually forces Ren Pa into a situation where he has no choice but to retreat. This strategic move ultimately leads the Qin army to victory in that war.
The final "must-watch" part of Season 2 is the reintroduction of Ka Ryo Ten (He Liao Diao), also known as Ten. While Ten appeared in Season 1, she didn't have a major role at the time; however, starting from the end of Season 2, everything changes. Ten explains a great deal to us, and after reuniting with Shin, she becomes the "brains" behind the Hi Shin Unit. Although she might not leave as strong a physical impression as Kyou Kai, and the Hi Shin Unit doesn't trust her at first, she truly has the tactical skill to lead the unit to major victories.
★★★ AnimeOshi Real-Time Data Corner ★★★
On AnimeOshi, 42 scouts have left reviews, and the season currently holds a "Great" rating with an incredibly high score of 95%! Given the number of reviews and that impressive score, it is obvious that Season 2 is a must-watch as well. As a final note, here is a historical fact: Bi Ki, Ren Pa, Ou Sen, and Kan Ki are all based on real historical figures, not original characters. However, there is one very important character in Kingdom who is entirely original and did not exist in history. Do you know who it is?

Kingdom Season 3: The Greatest Threat to Qin and the Hardest Fight for Ei Sei
Unlike the previous seasons, while Season 3 isn't short, every single episode is a "must-watch." I personally hope everyone watches the entire season without skipping anything, as it is truly an amazing experience. Although it may be hard to believe, almost the entire third season—with the exception of the last two episodes—focuses on the Coalition Army, the greatest threat Qin has ever faced.
For those unfamiliar with the history of this era, allow me to explain what the Coalition Army is. At that time, the land of China was divided into seven states: Han, Zhao, Wei, Qi, Chu, Yan, and Qin. When one particular country became too powerful or showed signs of trying to conquer the others, the remaining states would join forces to wage war against it and diminish its power. Because Qin had grown too strong, Zhao persuaded the other countries to join forces with the goal of destroying Qin. The Coalition Army (合従軍) essentially means that all six other states combined their military might and sent their soldiers to wipe Qin off the map.
While Qin had joined forces with other countries before to achieve its own goals, having six nations attack all at once was truly shocking news. Of course, since we know this is the story of Qin Shi Huang, we know Qin will ultimately overcome this massive challenge; however, how they do it is the main focus of this season. Because one country is facing off against six others, the conflict takes a long time to resolve, which is why the entire season is dedicated to this single arc. On top of the incredible story, the animation, character designs, and CGI are all high quality. Therefore, every episode of Season 3 is something you should watch without skipping a single second.
From Shin vs. Man Goku (Wan Ji) and the Hi Shin Unit’s desperate battles to Mou Bu’s (Meng Wu) legendary one-on-one duel, Tou’s (Teng) splendid attacks, and the dramatic arrival of Yo Tan Wa—so much happens in Season 3. These moments are truly amazing, so once again, please make sure to watch them without any skips. Since the entire season is a "must-watch," instead of listing specific skippable parts, I will share two of my personal favorite highlights from Season 3.
My first personal favorite is the Battle of Kankoku Pass featuring Kan Ki. His name appears again because, as a former bandit, his mind isn't restricted by traditional military strategy, or "Bing Fa" (The Art of War). Kan Ki knows how to achieve the biggest victories by playing by his own rules rather than following a textbook. To give you an example of his style in Season 3: the state of Wei sent a massive, powerful siege weapon against him. Instead of sitting in his chair trying to figure out a traditional counter-strategy, he used oil stolen from the Qin palace to launch a devastating counter-attack. The Wei generals never expected such a tactic, and Kan Ki easily halted their assault without overthinking it for days.
7.jpeg)
Source: 【公式】TVアニメ「キングダム」第6シリーズ Official X account
Another example of his brilliance is his willingness to charge directly into a battlefield swarming with Wei and Han soldiers to execute a "crazy" plan with total 100% calmness. While it might not seem like a big deal in the anime, in a real-life situation, no one would ever take a gamble like that—except Kan Ki. Because he is willing to do anything to win, his gamble led to one of the greatest victories of the war: the checkmate of the Han General. Kan Ki truly doesn't "play by the book." Everything he does makes you feel like he's about to lose, but in the end, he is always the one showing us how to truly win and survive in an era of war.
My second personal favorite is the final arc of the season, featuring Ei Sei. In this part, Ei Sei truly shows us what it means to be a king and the true meaning of protecting one's people. Instead of staying safely in the palace to wait for his soldiers to win, Ei Sei departs for the final battlefield: Sai. Upon reaching Sai, he delivers a deeply emotional speech to encourage the soldiers and citizens to stand against Ri Boku, and he decides to stay and fight with them until the very end. Everyone, including the Hi Shin Unit, is shocked by his decision, yet the King himself works alongside the people of Sai, combining their strength to hold the line.
Ri Boku senses that Ei Sei will one day become a formidable enemy, which is why he is so determined to destroy Qin with the Coalition Army. To ensure victory, he brings a massive force and the legendary Hou Ken (Pang Nuan). Hou Ken is another of Qin’s "nightmares," and with him and Ri Boku joining forces, the chances of Qin being destroyed are incredibly high. It seems almost impossible for Ei Sei and the civilians of Sai to win; however, Ei Sei still leads them through several magnificent battles. This arc is full of touching scenes that prove although Ei Sei is a king, he doesn't use his position for luxury. Instead, he works harder than anyone to fulfill his dream of unifying China.
★★★ AnimeOshi Real-Time Data Corner ★★★
On AnimeOshi, Kingdom Season 3 holds a 98% high score—that is nearly perfect! With a rating like that, you know this is a season you definitely cannot miss. As a final note: while the Coalition Army was a real event in Qin’s history, many of the specific battle details and some of the characters are Kingdom originals.

Kingdom Season 4: The Fall of Ryo Fui and the Emotional Breakdown of Bi Ki
While Season 3 was a "must-watch" from start to finish, Season 4 returns to a format of multiple story arcs within one season. Because there are several different storylines, there are parts I love and others that newcomers might find a bit slow. Similar to Seasons 1 and 2, there are three specific parts of Season 4 that I consider the highlights.
For those who think Ei Sei’s journey was easy or short, you couldn't be more wrong. Even though he officially became the King of Qin after the Sei Kyou rebellion, he didn't actually have the power to control the country yet. Since Ei Sei was quite young at the time, the state was effectively ruled by Ryo Fui and Bi Ki. In ancient times, a young king often lacked actual authority, so his mother and other capable officials would "look after" the country for him.
In Qin, there are essentially three power factions: Ei Sei’s Faction, Ryo Fui’s Faction, Bi Ki and her lover, Rou Ai (Lao Ai) This section is important because Season 4 is full of political explanations and court intrigue. If you aren't interested in political drama, you could just follow my "favorite parts" and skip the rest. However, if you skip too much, you’ll miss vital information, so it’s best to at least understand the basics from this post first.
My first personal favorite highlight is the Young Generation of Qin vs. the Old Generation of Wei. In Kingdom, "New Generation" and "Old Generation" are important keywords that the story mentions frequently. With the rise of Ei Sei, the army has introduced a new wave of talent—Shin, Ou Hon, and others—who are securing major victories for Qin. This part is truly amazing because the animation is solid, and more importantly, it shows the younger generation of Qin finally overcoming the legacy of Wei.
Hara constantly adds new characters to "spice up" the world of Kingdom, and the older generation of Wei generals are perfect examples. These veterans are incredibly powerful; both Gai Mou (Kai Meng) and Earl Shi (Zi Zhi) are monsters on the battlefield. However, the younger generation of Qin managed to surpass them, obtaining a massive victory for the state.
8.jpeg)
Source: 【公式】TVアニメ「キングダム」第6シリーズ Official X account
My second personal favorite is the heated debate between Ei Sei and Ryo Fui. Although I mentioned that some political parts could be skipped, if you are interested in philosophy or leadership, you must watch Season 4 without skipping a single second. This debate allows you to truly understand Ei Sei’s mindset and why he is so obsessed with the unification of China. In Season 4, Ryo Fui invites Ei Sei to a debate, confident that his own vast knowledge and vision will leave the young King speechless and embarrassed.
However, the outcome is completely different. Ei Sei has clearly spent a long time reflecting on the history and the future of China, and he delivers one of the most epic lines in the series: "The true nature of humanity is light." Ei Sei has endured incredible darkness—if you read the uncensored manga, you will feel the weight of his trauma even more—yet despite how his mother and others treated him, he still believes in the light within people and is willing to fight for it. I was personally very touched by this scene, as it reveals the true reason behind his obsession with unification and his willingness to sacrifice everything for it.
My final personal favorite is the confrontation between Bi Ki and her son, Ei Sei. Even though Ei Sei is her flesh and blood, she cannot love him, as seeing his face reminds her of all the trauma she endured in Zhao. The anime censors a lot of this; if you want to understand what Bi Ki truly went through and why she became so cruel toward her own son, you need to read the uncensored manga—but please prepare yourself, as the story is extremely heavy. No matter what kind of King Ei Sei becomes, Bi Ki cannot love him because of the horrors they survived together. She is a truly tragic figure; she endured so much and felt unloved by the world, despite giving her heart to several men.
When Bi Ki finally met Rou Ai (Lao Ai), she was finally willing to do anything for someone else—even giving birth to his children and starting a war against her own son for Rou Ai's sake. While we can emphasize with Bi Ki's pain, the world is cruel. When the armies of Ryo Fui and Rou Ai were defeated, Rou Ai faced the most severe penalty. Bi Ki tried desperately to save him, even kneeling before her son to beg for his life. However, even though Ei Sei didn't blame his mother, he could not let Rou Ai live. This led Bi Ki to curse her son and scold him bitterly. It is a heartbreaking scene for Ei Sei, but I love it because it forces us to think: what would you do, and how would you feel, if your own mother was willing to wage war against you just for the sake of her other children?
★★★ AnimeOshi Real-Time Data Corner ★★★
On AnimeOshi, 26 scouts have left their reviews, and once again, the series has earned over 90%! Season 4 holds an incredibly high score of 94%, which means that even though some episodes might feel skippable, you should definitely watch all of them if you have the time. As a final note: the story of Bi Ki and Rou Ai is based on real historical events. After watching this arc, try asking yourself: what would you do if you faced the same dilemma? Would you be able to make the same difficult choices as Ei Sei?

Kingdom Season 5: The Hi Shin Unit and the Dark, Mature War Style
After finishing Season 4, the next step remains simple: follow the numerical order and watch Season 5. Personally, this is the season I love the most because it focuses heavily on Kan Ki. I have actually read this arc in the original manga multiple times! I really love how Hara designed Kan Ki and his "bandit family"—they are characters who constantly break the rules, but you can’t argue with their results because they win so consistently.
Compared to other seasons, Season 5 is the shortest, consisting of only 12 episodes. Because of its length, the season is highly focused on the Battle of Kokuyou Hills. Aside from the Coalition Army arc, this is one of the most epic parts of the entire Kingdom series. Similar to Season 3, every episode of Season 5 is a "must-watch," but there are still two specific highlights I want to discuss in this post.
The first highlight is how General Kan Ki completely fooled the Zhao general, Kei Sha. Because Kan Ki was a former bandit, almost everyone—including Shin—doesn't have a very good impression of him. Kei Sha, on the other hand, was a top Zhao general whom even Ri Boku respected. He knew Kan Ki was strong because of the Coalition War, but he still underestimated him. It’s somewhat understandable; since Kei Sha was a strategist that even Ri Boku had to be wary of, he likely couldn't imagine himself falling for someone like Kan Ki’s "dirty" tricks.
9.jpeg)
Source: 【公式】TVアニメ「キングダム」第6シリーズ Official X account
Kan Ki did an incredible job of luring Kei Sha into his trap. Even though Kan Ki didn't have much formal information on his opponent, he knew exactly how to attack a person's psyche. He didn't need to know Kei Sha’s history to understand how to provoke him and force him out of his "comfort zone." As a result, Kei Sha was lured into the open and suffered devastating damage at the hands of the Zenou Clan.
The second highlight is the most "epic" yet disturbing part: the Human Arch. While it might sound like I enjoy a twisted scene, this is actually how Kingdom shows us the true terror of Kan Ki. He will do anything to win and survive, even things a normal person wouldn't dare to imagine. This is a highly impactful part of the story, so I won't mention too many details—I want everyone to see for themselves just how "crazy" Kan Ki can be.
Although you might think Kan Ki is a sick individual who is willing to do anything to win, if you think logically, his plans are often the most efficient and safest methods of victory. Rather than trying to dismantle an entire army through brute force, Kan Ki targets a single person’s psyche. This allows him to achieve the greatest possible victory while suffering the minimum amount of damage to his own troops.
★★★ AnimeOshi Real-Time Data Corner ★★★
It may be hard to believe, but on AnimeOshi, 127 scouts have left reviews for Kingdom Season 5, and it currently holds a perfect 100% score! While it might seem like everyone is just enjoying the twisted scenes, I think it’s deeper than that. Similar to the challenge in Season 4, once you finish this season, try to put yourself in Kan Ki’s shoes. In that high-stakes situation, would you truly be capable of finding a more efficient way to secure a greater victory with fewer casualties on your own side?

Kingdom Season 6: The Rise of the Underrated General, Ou Sen
Immediately after finishing Season 5, Kingdom introduces yet another completely different style of warfare in Season 6. This season is another absolute "must-watch." Since Part 1 consists of only 12 episodes, I strongly recommend watching every single one without skipping, as you won't want to miss any of the fascinating details. Because this entire season is essential, I will focus on sharing my absolute favorite part of Season 6 with you.
In Season 6, the primary objective is the invasion of the state of Zhao. Since it is impossible to conquer Zhao in a single conflict, Qin’s strategy is to push deep into their territory with this campaign, setting the stage to take them down in the future. Qin has placed immense hope in this mission, putting in a tremendous amount of effort and deploying three of its greatest generals at once: Ou Sen, Yo Tan Wa, and Kan Ki.
As a Kingdom superfan who has read this arc multiple times, I know exactly what’s coming—so instead of just focusing on the war, let’s talk about Ou Sen. While Yo Tan Wa and her mountain tribes have plenty of incredible scenes this season, Season 6 is essentially the "Ou Sen Show."
Ou Sen truly demonstrates what his "monstrous brain" is capable of. Even though Ri Boku is Qin’s greatest nightmare and a master of countless tactics, Ou Sen still manages to launch a brilliant psychological and strategic surprise attack against him. His "Locust Strategy" is nothing short of incredible. Ri Boku had already predicted how Ou Sen might attack and planned his next moves accordingly, but this unexpected maneuver completely shattered Ri Boku's preparations in an instant.
While it may not seem like a huge deal to us as viewers, the fact that Ou Sen could devise such a brilliant strategy in such a short amount of time is truly praiseworthy. Ou Sen isn't just a master of warfare; he can also predict the weather with incredible accuracy. His ability to sense an approaching rainstorm and issue the correct orders instantly shows a level of battlefield awareness that is almost superhuman.
In Season 6, you might have missed a subtle but vital detail: there is actually one other person who can keep up with Ou Sen’s thinking—Kyou Kai. She possesses a profound instinct that allows her to read the weather just like Ou Sen, and she is the only one who truly sees through the Locust Strategy before it's fully revealed. These scenes are very important; although they are brief, they foreshadow something significant that will play out in the future.
★★★ AnimeOshi Real-Time Data Corner ★★★
On AnimeOshi, 17 scouts have left their reviews, and Season 6 currently holds a perfect 100% score! With such an amazing rating, it is obvious that Season 6 is another "must-watch." For those who have the time, please watch every episode without skipping. As a final note: in the true history of the Qin Dynasty, Ou Sen was one of the most essential figures in the unification of China. Whenever he takes the battlefield, pay close attention—you are watching a legendary historical hero in action!

Conclusion:
Thank you so much for reading this guide! In this post, I’ve shared my ultimate guide for the Kingdom anime. While you shouldn't skip entire seasons or jump around the timeline, Seasons 1, 2, and 4 do have specific arcs and episodes that you can skip initially if you're short on time. Please use this post as a reference to confirm which parts are essential for the season you are currently watching. Whether it's the raw strength of the Hi Shin Unit or the brilliant mind games of Ou Sen, I hope this helps you enjoy the journey of unification as much as I have!
