We begin in Akihabara, where the famous "gachapon" is explained (those capsule machines that drain your wallet without you even noticing, like casinos). Jashin, true to form, decides to literally bet her life on a blessed toy… because, well, that's her priority. Luckily, she gets a "sure thing" and leaves happy, proving that her common sense is in the negative. But her obsession escalates when she tries to complete the collection, even spending her dinner money. In the end, she gets the missing figure in the most questionable way possible: by tricking a child and putting the toy in his mouth. Receiving a "falcon punch," well, it was a Pyrrhic victory. Later, this comedy gets even more absurd when a policewoman arrests her for nothing… well, it was for "stealing his heart." This romantic twist (saxophone music plays) turns the scene into a mess, although Yurine thinks that giving Jashin away as an object would be good, she backs down because she needs a "maid." (Good heavens, Yurine doesn't forgive anything...) and it gets worse when Mei in the anime attacks Jashin with a sword, while in the manga she uses her revolver after a fit of rage when the shameless woman wants to comfort the wounded snake (Mei, you really are a walking threat that needs to be neutralized). Later that night, in Yurine's apartment, Jashin prostrates herself before her and begs her to let her die, which she refuses. Later, Jashin laments her failed plan while watching TV and eating cookies. The TV show she's watching gives her an epiphany about how she can annihilate Yurine, like in a drama series. Jashin visualizes various scenarios of how the "accidental killings" would occur. Once Jashin finishes her scenarios, Yurine returns from the shower. Jashin asks Yurine what her plans are for the next day, and she replies that she has none. Then Jashin suggests they go hiking in the mountains, which Yurine subtly declines, leaving her dejected. (Is a high fall from a mountain enough to defeat her? Good idea... I mean... Let's continue.) Later, while Medusa is running errands, she receives a call from Jashin, who wants to see her. Before going to see her, Medusa buys some candy and takes out some money for her. Upon arriving at the apartment, Medusa notices something strange, and at that moment, Jashin's head detaches. This leaves Medusa in tears over the death of her childhood friend (The Toxic One). At that instant, Jashin emerges from her hiding place in the closet and reveals that the Jashin Medusa saw was just her skin (The Real-Life Snake Process). But, instead of taking it in stride, Medusa scolds her for "going too far" with her joke, stating that she won't be back for a while, and tries to dissuade Medusa. She even goes so far as to tell her that she'll get gastritis if she leaves her. Unconvinced, Medusa leaves, leaving her devastated. (Oh, I'm going to cry.) However, this was all a ruse by Medusa as revenge for Jashin's prank. The two reconcile. (Goodness, an emotional counterattack worthy of the toxic but inseparable best friends we're going to see so far in this anime and manga.)
