EPISODE REVIEWS

Episode Context

A tense, character-driven aftermath episode that trades a major action set piece for an intimate hospital search. With Natsuki's condition putting the group under urgent pressure, the emotional weight lands on Yuu, whose guilt, shaky self-worth, and instinct to isolate when others are hurt drive the episode's quieter conflicts. Aki stays impulsive but deeply compassionate, while Sakura supplies a blunt counterweight to Yuu's self-destructive reasoning. Flashbacks fill in Yuu's emotional context, and encounters with other survivors keep the danger present throughout the exploration. Comedy softens rather than erases the fear around Natsuki's injury and the group's uncertain future, giving the episode an offbeat rhythm that sits between survival anxiety and the series' humor.
