EPISODE REVIEWS

Seeing the difference between Akira just wanting to enjoy life and Kencho going all in on survival mode was actually pretty funny. The whole bucket list idea just makes everything feel more fun instead of desperate.

The philosophy kicks in: survive vs LIVE. Shizuka = cold logic queen. Akira = chaos gremlin. Their contrast? Chef’s kiss. Slight dip in momentum but still vibey.

Episode Context

Following the explosive first episode that trapped Akira in both a dead-end job and a zombie outbreak, episode two establishes the show's actual premise, the bucket list itself, and sets the emotional framework for the entire season. A newly introduced character provides an ideological counterpoint to Akira's optimism, planting seeds for character dynamics that will drive the narrative forward. At episode two of twelve, this is foundational world-building disguised as a hangout episode, locking in the comedic and thematic identity the rest of the season will build upon.
