Bro was actually happier seeing a zombie outbreak than going back to work, that’s how bad his job was. Seeing him suddenly feel free and enjoy life again was oddly satisfying.

Corporate horror > zombie horror. The tonal whiplash is INSANE—like depression → liberation speedrun. That confession scene? Twisted but poetic. This ep basically hard-carried the show’s hype.

This premiere is INSANE. the way they use color to show Akira's soul being crushed by corporate life? then when the apocalypse hits and everything explodes into neon? the tonal whiplash is wild but it works. pacing is a bit slow in the first half but the payoff is worth it. 😂

Good way to start the season! It'll keep you hooked to the story immediately. The animation is top-tier, super vibrant! The pacing is perfect when it shifts from Akira's toxic cooperative job to total zombie apocalypse🧟‍♂️. Excited for the season!!

A solid start. I liked how it showed the exhausting, toxic side of corporate life and how mentally draining it can be. The sudden chaos flipped everything in an interesting way. Tendo’s bold attitude stood out too.

7/10 — cool concept and animation. Curious where it goes!

In a world where we’re constantly exploited by work, this story represents in a light and very funny way how freedom can sometimes come from unexpected places. It has a traditional animation style, but it’s full of details that make the series more engaging and interesting.

Really fun start with hidden chaos at heart. Experiencing Freedom life from his office after the zombie outbreak is hilarious. Zom100 offers full of humor, adventure, and his bucket list sets a fresh, unique story for the series.

EPISODE CONTEXT

As episode 1 of 12, this is pure setup—establishing Akira's character, his suffocating work environment under boss Kosugi, and the apocalyptic event that reframes everything. It directly feeds into episode 2, 'Bucket List of the Dead,' where Akira channels his liberation into an actual list of things he wants to experience, giving the series its central narrative engine.
