YuruYuri: Happy Go Lily Episode 1: Middle School Debut!

I've always seen and known of this anime, but I've never been able to watch it until now.

I like slow-paced anime, or school-related ones, but the first few minutes of this ep didn't exactly land. The characters looked really cute, though the art style wasn't exactly my type. It did grow on me somehow, little by little, so there's that.

Story-wise, this ep was... slow in the sense that I felt myself get bored by the first half. The rating I gave, however, was high solely because I liked how silly it got by the second half of the episode. I like my anime silly, and it lowkey hit the spot. Well, barely, but it did, and that was the point, ahaha.

So far, I'm neutral on the characters, but I hope to I get to have a fave soon!

It is a funny and lighthearted anime about everyday life. The first episode already starts with our clumsy main character. Just how clumsy is she?! Not only does she oversleep, but she even forgets that she has already started middle school and prepare to go to school with her normal clothes! After that, we get into their fun school life and see them open a nonsense club - just for fun. The whole episode is full of silly and random moments. The funniest part is when they try to help the main character gain more “presence.” Their ideas make almost no sense, but that is exactly what makes it so funny!

En este primer episodio, la comedia absurda abunda. Akari realiza su esperado inicio en la secundaria, donde se une a sus amigas en el excéntrico Club de Diversiones. Además, con la llegada inesperada de Chinatsu el grupo está completo. Es un capítulo lleno de humor irreverente.
