the calm is shattered, the school routine is tinged with shadows and friendship is tested in the face of an inevitable destiny, A chapter that bleds tenderness and unease, leaving a taste of a broken promise
The tension skyrockets, the fragility behind heroism is revealeed and every smile hides an invisible burden. An episode that transforms hope into a haunting echo, making it clear that being a heroine is never simple
the introduction of a new character help us see the girl´s real emotions, doubts, fears, and experience wen thing for the firts time, making the characters feel more human
the girls begin to understand their responsabilities and everything starts to get more serious; we finally see the transformation of the girl in the wheelchair, togo-san
Interesting to see it ended the way it did, you would expect it to go a much darker path in the way they presented the narrative. Even so, I am really happy that they did go that route as it preserved much of the idyllic spirit of the anime. It was quite a wonderful, fun finale.
This episode is probably the bleakest in the whole series, with one character essentially suffering a fate worse than death. It really raises the stakes way beyond any magical girl show I have watched before and the finale is building up for something truly special. It's awesome.
It looks like this whole situation has completely broken one of our characters, to the point that she is taking extreme measures to "fix" everything. It's understandable though, with that shocking twist about her and the whole system, but how far could she go until it bites back?
And there goes the idealism of this supposedly wholesome anime. With more disturbing truths coming out and the fact that they are the inevitable price for having powers, it maks you question how much more can they take after this. It only gets more intense as the story goes on.
We finally got the reveal that was hinted on for several episodes by now. The true price of being a hero in this world and its rammifications on those chosen for the role. It's as tense as it is heartbreaking, and there's a chance that not everything was covered in all of this.
It's another breather episode, with some rather uneasy feeling surrounding it. Can't help but mention that some of the complications brought about by that battle left some lingering after-effects on the characters. Eventually, the price of having powers will rear its ugly head.
What a unique take on the fallout of that gargantuan battle. Despite the cheery tone of this episode, an ominous cloud hangs on our characters' head. On the bright side, there won't be that much battles for the time being, and they can take time bonding with one another more.
Although we knew it would come to this, we did not expect this fight to be this intense. It's probably the most challenging and dangerous moments for our heroines, they only won by the skin of their teeth even with power upgrades. What a payoff and it's just mid season, let's go!
We move on to another breather episode, this time focusing on the relationship between two closely related characters. Again, it seems very wholsesome yet surprisingly deep, allowing them to talk and clear up misunderstandings in the past. Next episode may test that bond though.
