Episode Context

Sitting at episode 171 of 224, this falls deep into the anime-original Waking the Dragons arc, which is entirely filler relative to the manga. It directly continues the Joey vs. Valon clash from 'Fighting for a Friend – Part 2' and feeds into 'Part 4,' meaning the duel's resolution and its consequences for Joey's broader journey in this arc are still ahead.
