This was an interesting episode. There was a lot of tension in this episode compared to the previous ones because we got a direct confrontation between Imaizumi and Midousuji, which really put a damp on the whole mood of the episode. On the other hand, we also got a confrontation between Midousuji and Hakone's Shinkai Hayato. And honestly, we know very little of this character. So delving into his backstory was interesting. I really am looking forward to the next episode!

I wasn't expecting to become interested in another rider's story this much. The episode does a great job showing that every competitor has their own struggles and reasons for riding. It adds more depth to the race and makes the rivalry feel much more personal.

Midousuji's character really pisses me off. He's so weird and annoying. I don't appreciate the backstory of this episode while in the tight match. They should have done it the other way, not in the middle of a tight race. The backstory was a bit emotional.
