Episode Context

Sitting at the quarter-mark of a 12-episode run, Episode 3 builds on the subtle emotional hints dropped in Episode 2 regarding Eiyuu's feelings and deepens the trio's interpersonal dynamics. This is the show laying its emotional groundwork, exploring the admiration, nostalgia, and unspoken promises that will fuel the conflicts and payoffs in the season's back half. It sets the stage for the relationships to shift from comfortable childhood familiarity into more complicated romantic territory.
