XL Boss
Oshimeter
Synopsis
When a 26-year-old office worker named Saki Watase signs up for a product review gig to make a little extra cash, her first assignment turns out to be a box of XL-size condoms. She shoves them in a drawer and tries to forget about it. Then her strict, no-nonsense boss Keisuke Sudou ends up walking her home after a work drinking party, spots the box, and casually reveals he has a personal stake in those reviews. That's episode one, and it sets the tone for everything that follows. This is an 8-episode ONA from 2019, adapted from a josei manga, which means it's actually aimed at adult women rather than the usual demographic you might expect. That comes through in how the dynamic between Saki and Keisuke is framed — there's genuine humor in the awkward setup, and the show leans into the office tension between them rather than skipping past it. The episodes are short, so it moves fast without much padding. If you've watched something like Skirt no Naka wa Kedamono Deshita. or Souryo to Majiwaru Shikiyoku no Yoru ni. and appreciated that blend of workplace or situational context with adult content, this hits a similar note. It's not trying to be deep, but the josei lens gives it a slightly different feel than most titles in the genre — the female perspective is actually present rather than decorative. Go in knowing what it is, and it delivers exactly that.
