Wolf's Rain

Synopsis
In a dying world, there exists an ancient legend: when the world ends, the gateway to paradise will be opened. This utopia is the sole salvation for the remnants of life in this barren land, but the legend also dictates that only wolves can find their way to this mythical realm. Though long thought to be extinct, wolves still exist and live amongst humans, disguising themselves through elaborate illusions. A lone wolf named Kiba finds himself drawn by an intoxicating scent to Freeze City, an impoverished town under the rule of the callous Lord Orkham. Here, Kiba discovers that wolves Hige, Tsume, and Toboe have been drawn in by the same aroma. By following the fragrance of "Lunar Flowers," said to be the key to opening the door to their ideal world, the wolves set off on a journey across desolate landscapes and crumbling cities to find their legendary promised land. However, they are not the only ones seeking paradise, and those with more sinister intentions will do anything in their power to reach it first.

This episode is chaotic. Everything finally blows up as Jaguara’s plan. The story has not end here, there is there 4 episodes left that is not showing in this website.
Kiba finally gets close to Cheza. The pacing is intense and nonstop. Feels like Hige is the one that can save everyone in my opinion. The way Jaguara and the people celebrate is eerie. Solemn and stirring music at the end.
Even everyone splits up but they still fall into Jaguara’s traps one by one. The pacing is intense. The dark side of the city starting to show up.
The team splits up in the city and Hige has some mystery connection with the city. It seems like they have fallen into some kind of trap.
The wolves struggle through the frozen sea and face something way bigger than they expected. The fight makes me feel almost desperate but Toboe really stands out in this one.
A lot of war scenes are in this episode. Kiba and the team get into the middle of a messy battle while trying to track Cheza.
The fights are brutal and heavy, animation makes every impact work, and the tone is kept intense. By the end, the whole journey theme works great. Easily bumps up to a 9/10.
This one feels different. Everything comes together, including the music at the end. It's such an awesome moment for Hige and Blue, and the promise really resonates. Atmosphere, feelings, and music this is all the feels just before the end of the series.
This type of structure is really something I love. Everyone meeting up at Cheza from different paths all over is giving us layers of this world. It’s a very clean and clever writing style that gets better the more you pay attention to it.
Everything is just heating up, and that creepy, sterile feel of the city is really starting to work for me. How the city works all comes together with Jaguara, which is amazing but kind of scary.
It was disturbing to start off like that, and the harsh tone continued throughout the entire episode. With Jagara finally making an appearance, she is definitely the ultimate villain, as she is cold-hearted and ruthless. Toboe, on the other hand, was undoubtedly the best.
Wolves who are said to be vicious miss the whole idea because they are authentic and wild, making them much more fascinating. The Hubb-Cher couple was something else. It is rare to come across a couple like them that seems genuine. Also, Kiba’s instincts were on fire.
This is just too cool, the ambiance is totally amazing and is really engaging. That one little scene was really humorous, kind of brought me out of it for a moment, but did not ruin the experience at all.
Loved the episode; the mood was just so nice and cozy that it just hit you. The romance, on the other hand, was completely out of the blue and very forced. Couldn't quite believe that, despite the romantic dream element.
While I normally don’t watch recap episodes, I decided to go for it and there were no problems. Just wanted to take on a new point of view.
Another recap episode, only this one through the eyes of Hige. Honestly, this one is quite redundant; it's the same story, just another point of view. At this point, there really isn't too much you can do to make the recap episodes exciting.
It really serves as a perspective section that sheds more light on their thoughts and views on their journey. It is still a recap but it does add to their characters rather than be completely meaningless.
This was essentially an episode of recap presented under a different angle, no major new things to ponder about. The only new thing came from the music, which actually was quite enjoyable.
As someone who appreciates the background of where it all takes place and that mysterious back story, it's easy to get hooked on it. This was an intense episode in terms of tension, though once again dividing the group gets annoying.
This one made me love the show even more, especially how the payoff to the reunion was perfect. It did not give us much about our main cast but the tone still suited the episode well. The use of Brazilian music surprised me, it was brilliant.
