I love this episode! Although I do admit that the flashback sequence is a tad generic but I get it when they said that that feeling hits like a lightning. It really does! And we can see how that happened to our man, Ayumu. Props to him for acting on it! I have no opinions on their kouhai at the moment but I am interested to see how their character develops. I recommend this episode for the plot!
We finally see the first meeting of Urushi and Ayumu at the perfect time. It is amazing how fitting the way Ayumu fell in love with his personality and character. The addition of a new character was also well paced before the scenes become repetitive and boring. An episode with just the right amount of lore for a relaxing romance anime.
Ok another fave episode this season. This show how Ayumu joined the shogi club in the first place and a new kouhai. Just was so fun looking at Ayumu's expression seeing Senpai for the first and that itself make the episode unskippable.
