It started a bit slow but once the blindfold went on things got pretty crazy and you have to wonder if he ever finds out it is actually her

Her hair being let down was such a huge transformation and she really does look like a different person than the plain girl from the start

I did not expect Kuroko to be that bold but watching her trick him into thinking she is Moegi was pretty intense and that scene at the end really surprised me

That library scene had so much tension and seeing Kuroko finally snap and go through with her plan was exactly what I wanted to see from her character
megurine_marvel_496's avatar
megurine_marvel_496
This plot feels too mean, and the way she treats Suguru just because he likes someone else is harsh, and the blindfold thing is just frustrating to watch

I was actually surprised by how much I liked Kuroko as a lead because she seems so boring at first, and then she just goes totally off the deep end with this plan, and it is definitely dark but the way she mimics the idols voice is a clever twist and the animation in those library scenes looked pretty good to me

The contrast between how Kuroko looks at work and what she does to him in that room is wild and her sounding like Moegi is such a devious move
ia_identity_501's avatar
ia_identity_501
The art for Kuroko is way better than expected and seeing her go from plain library girl to that was a huge shock and the scene worked well

Suguru is kind of a dummy for not realizing it isn't Moegi and the whole setup with the blindfold is a bit of a stretch even for a show like this
espadada_grimmjow_460's avatar
espadada_grimmjow_460
Kuroko really took advantage of that voice resemblance and Suguru fell for the blindfold trick so easily but the library setting was actually kind of hot
isekaibro's avatar
isekaibro
It is pretty dark how she is basically tricking him every single day while they are at work and he is just happy thinking his crush likes him back
kido_knight's avatar
kido_knight
I felt so bad for Suguru when he started calling out Moegi's name, because he has no clue that it is Kuroko taking advantage of him
clavell's avatar

Kuroko looks so plain at first but then she completely changes once she gets him alone and the animation for it is way better than expected
violet_evergarden_168's avatar
violet_evergarden_168
That blindfold scene was so messed up because Suguru thinks he is finally with the school idol and he has no idea it is actually Kuroko
demyx's avatar

I cannot believe Kuroko actually pulled off that voice trick and Suguru is so clueless he just goes along with it in the library
farnese_de_vandimion's avatar
farnese_de_vandimion
It is kind of messed up how she is using his crush on Moegi against him but those close up shots of Kuroko are looking good
toby_lvl22's avatar
toby_lvl22
The contrast between the quiet library vibes and what Kuroko is doing to Suguru while he thinks she is the idol is pretty dark
kyogre_307's avatar
kyogre_307
I was looking for something a bit different and this library setup really delivered on the drama. The transformation Kuroko goes through when she is alone with Suguru is a complete 180 from her usual self and I found myself rooting for her even though she is being totally deceptive about her identity. That ending left me wanting more.

Suguru needs to pay more attention because Kuroko is doing a lot under that Moegi persona and the animation held up

josuke_higashikata
That blindfold scene set the tone fast and Kuroko is definitely not as plain as the school thinks

EPISODE CONTEXT

This is the first of only two episodes, making it the direct entry point into the entire series — there is no prior episode to build on, so all character context and premise-building originates here. Episode 1 carries the full weight of establishing Hinagiku and the club dynamic that the second and final episode will pay off. Watching this episode is essential, as Episode 2 functions as a conclusion rather than a standalone experience.
