I appreciated how Episode 22 slowed down the drama into character nuance. Instead of pointless conflict, we got depth. Yay. Finally liking this one a bit more

Honestly, this ep did a great job juggling so much emotion at once. Satsuki isn't annoying to me anymore LOL

Watching Naoto wrestle with confusing feelings after almost being rejected by Satsuki was so painfully relatable. The pressure of decisions about college vs living with Suzu added real weight, and Satsuki’s sudden vulnerability shook me more than I expected xD

Episode Context

Positioned deep in the final stretch of a 26-episode run, "The One I Need" carries the weight of a series approaching its emotional endgame. With Episode 21 titled "Honest Feelings" laying groundwork through raw confessions and vulnerability, expect this episode to push Naoto Watari and the characters surrounding him into decisive emotional territory. The title itself signals a moment of clarity, someone confronting who truly matters to them amid the tangled web of relationships, past trauma, and competing affections that define this series. Tonally, this should lean heavy into drama with the kind of charged romantic tension that rewards viewers who have invested in these characters over twenty-plus episodes. Comedy likely takes a backseat here as the stakes crystallize. This is relationship drama operating at peak intensity with resolution on the horizon.
