A self contained episode with a wholesome and light plot to it. I really like how we get to see how different Elaina is from the episode before, especially before she met Fran. It's great when a story is consistent with its character. But I do want some lore for the magic system.

That supporting character they brought in really annoys me; I wanted to punch her a few times during the episode—she seemed so fake. At least Elaina acts like a grown-up and can solve her problems without making a big scene.

This episode shows a bit more of the worldbuilding, the mages, the hierarchy, and how a city is built around them. It also features a nice way of subverting your expectations and a bit of a side mystery sprinkled throughout the episode.
