EPISODE REVIEWS

Since this episode focused heavily on Arnheid's backstory, I found it a bit boring. However, the animation and overall story were still really good and worth watching!

Episode Context

Sitting at the exact midpoint of Season 2's 24-episode run, 'Freedom' follows the rising unease of Episode 13's 'Dark Clouds' and transforms simmering tension into deeply personal stakes. This episode functions as a crucial emotional anchor, enriching the backstories and motivations that will fuel the coming conflict in Episode 15, 'Storm.' It's the calm before the breaking point, essential viewing for understanding why the farm arc's climax carries the weight it does.
