Set in an alternate 2077, the world witnessed a period of rapid advancement in robotics, with Japan emerging as the leading innovator by 2050. However, the ethical implications of integrating robotics with humans led to a UN ban on further research and development in 2067. Japan, fiercely objecting to this decision, withdrew from the global stage, enacting a policy of national isolation. Yet, a decade later, a string of unusual events forces the American technology police agency, SWORD, to suspect Japan of secretly continuing its banned robotics research. SWORD dispatches agents to infiltrate Japan and investigate. Vexille, a seasoned operative within SWORD's team, plays a central role in uncovering the shocking truth behind Japan's decade-long isolation and the horrifying reality of their technological advancements.
