New character again! I bet they will make it interesting in the long run. The monster looks so nasty and creepy every time and the animation switch up for Aotsuki was really GOOD. Tora and Ushio’s bonding and relationship was getting GOOD and DEEPER. This also build up the tension for the next episode.
It was a bit hasty pacing with the introduction of two characters in different settings, but the plot allows both Ushio and Tora be challenged differently. I love Tora's answer and acknowledgement of being asked the same question over and over again, and I love the arrogance of the successors acting like they know more. I always enjoy reading hypocrisy at work when one respect the Beast Spear yet refused to acknowledge its choice of wielder.
This episode introduces us to the side characters that are the candidates for wielding the Beast Spear as well. The two introduced in this episode have unique personalities that quite different from Ushio which make it more interesting.
