The new character looks interesting. The lore was a little bit heavy and emotional. The room was so creepy with those bids and heavy barriers, the animation was really good because they visualized the right vibe for it.
It's a worthwhile story. First impression made me feel like reading a filler-like story, but the conflict allowed more exploration of the dynamics between youkai and humans as if to follow-up the previous episode and dive deeper into theme. Watching the evidence of Tora's growth was also a great little treat.
Even though there is not much action in this episode, I really like the pace and the plot for this one. The writers did a superb job in writing the side character who Ushio was helping, as even the episode is only 30 minutes, they managed to cramp the story enough. Love it!
