Episode Context

Following the premiere's introduction of the Ushiromiya family reunion and the enigmatic figure of Beatrice, this second episode escalates the psychological stakes by deepening character dynamics and seeding genuine dread into the closed-circle mystery. It functions as a critical bridge between the exposition-heavy opener and the darker developments of 'Episode I-III: Dubious Move,' establishing the emotional attachments that will make subsequent events hit harder. At episode 2 of 26, the series is still within its first game board, carefully positioning pieces before the real carnage begins.
